During the summer of 2019, consequent protests broke out in Puerto Rico, in order to overthrow Governor Ricardo Roselló’s corrupt regime, whose criminal mismanagement deprived citizens of relief efforts and participated in profane chats that made light of dead Hurricane Maria victims.

It was known to be the largest citizen demonstration in the modern history of Puerto Rico.

more than half a million people marched in San Juan and Rosselló announced his resignation on the night of July 24, after two weeks of protests took place in front of La Fortaleza.
